A settlement has been reached with Vector Security, Inc. (“Vector” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This case is about the targeted cyberattack on Vector's computer systems that occurred in December 2024 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained private information were accessed. These files may have contained personal information such as name; Social Security number; driver's license or state issued identification number; credit/debit card number with security/access code; tax identification number; medical information; and health insurance information.
The lawsuit is called Kocher et. al. v. Vector Security, Inc., Case No. GD-26-002764. It is pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (the “Litigation”). Vector denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the Litigation.
“Class Members” are defined as individuals identified by Vector's records who are entitled to benefits under the Settlement. You may have received a previous notice directly from Vector.
